Overall, this was a very disappointing stay. I had explicitly booked a quiet room and even called the hotel on the morning of check-in to make sure one had been reserved for me. The hotel confirmed that it had. Instead, I was given an outdated room directly above an area undergoing renovation. Loud drilling and construction noise started as early as 08:30 AM. Despite my complaint, the staff made little effort to offer me another room and seemed largely indifferent. The hotel director tried to explain that Berlin is a noisy city. That completely missed the point. Guests should be informed proactively when major renovation work is taking place inside the hotel, particularly when they have specifically requested and been promised a quiet room. The property itself is clearly well past its best years and in urgent need of renovation. This applies not only to the rooms, but also to the gym and the hotel’s general facilities. I can't recommend this hotel and will not stay there again.

I appreciate the DIREKT booking code, I love everything about the stay. Especially the breakfast and the sauna.

It was convenient to get to various places including Savignyplatz S bahn station and nearby bus stops.

The room was excellent, clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable and the pillow menu was much appreciated. The air conditioning worked great and staff was very responsive to minor maintenance concerns- the matter was addressed as soon as I mentioned it.

Everything was very clean.
