Upon my arrival the the check-in desk the front-desk agent did not demonstrate any sense of hospitality, then I checked out the guy asked: 'Was all good?' If you operate a hotel on a prestigious avenue I would expect more politeness. Other than that I did not interact with any staff member, however the overall atmosphere of the hotel feels very outdated, it craves for renovation. In my room the cover of the chair was broken, the floor and wall outside on the terrace green of the moss, wallpaper was torn and damaged. The movie theme might look fun but I found it rather odd and often creepy. The hotel doesn't have a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Overall, we had a good stay. The family room was clean, comfortable and pleasant, and the hotel is very conveniently located in central Berlin with easy access to public transport. We had no real complaints. The only small improvement would be to provide more bottled water in the room, particularly for a family room. Overall, a good experience and we were happy with our stay.

Very nice concept of the hotel and good location. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. All in all, our family liked a lot the stay in Hollywood Media Hotel and we can highly recommend the hotel to other guests.

At first, the name was a bit puzzling, but it turned out to be more than just a figure of speech; it reflects the hotel's genuine history linked to the Berlin Film Festival. The creative design of the public areas—featuring photographs, original posters, and studio props—is tasteful and possesses a touch of museum-like charm. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with impeccable cleanliness and order—quintessentially German—and the "pillow menu" was a real highlight. The staff are friendly and helpful. It offers excellent value for money. And above all, there is the vibe of the heart of West Berlin—an atmosphere that, fortunately, has endured all these years after the fall of the Wall. Highly recommended.
